“The elderly are not risk of committing suicide”. Do you agree or disagree? Explain your answer.

Suicide has a whole is still believed that it can be done only by younger age group due to lack of coping strategy.The government has taken a lot of measure to prevent it but it has missed the growing number of suicide among elderly population. According to CDC report 14 in 1,00,000 elderly population above 65years commit suicide. This is mainly because of loneliness, depression ,other mental illness,isolation from family,lack of financial support,proper housing and medical support, etc., contribute to the risk of committing suicide among elders compared to other age groups. Hence the above statement cannot be agreed.
