Answer: In the above mentioned case, it is the negligence of the nurse that she has given the double dose to the patient. Nurse should report the error. Because reporting the error can prevent the patient from further adverse conditions. Although the physician said that the dose may not harm the Patient but still the nurse should mentioned the error.

The ethical consideration involves as it is duty of the healthcare professionals to provide proper care to the patients. If any major harm caused by the negligence of the healthcare professionals then the patient has to suffer. So, it is ethically correct to report the error.
