1. When we administer lanoxin to the patient we should be careful about the pulse rate of the patient before administering it, as it increases vagal activity thereby decreasing heart rate by slowing depolarization of pacemaker cells in the AV node.

In question patient is already having bradycardia as his pulse rate is 52, so nurse should wait for sometime before giving it. And she should check for the lanoxin toxicity as bradycardia is among the sign of the lanoxin toxicity .
