   If a patient is admitted with complaints of acute pain on right lower abdominal area,fever

   anorexia and vomiting,physical examination indicate local tenderness over right lower

   abdominal area (Mcburneys point) and after investigations physician diagnosed it as

   appendicitis and admitted in medical unit.

Steps in nursing process for this patient.

a) Assessment.

       Subjective data (symptoms experienced by the patient)

             Lower abdominal pain.

             anorexia.

             Vomiting.

      Objective data (Signs observed and measured by the nurse)

           Fever

              Facial expression of pain.

              Local tenderness over right lower abdomen.
