Interventions may include educational programs, new or stronger policies, improvements in the environment, or a health promotion campaign.

2. Policy interventions use social policy to affect the health of the population. Example of current policy interventions is - family violence - second responder program . Second responder programs try to stop the repetition of family violence. A police officer and victim advocate come to your home a few hours or days after an incident has occurred. They talk to the victim about services and legal options, and may warn the offender of legal consequences if abuse continues.
