Answer #1

Weight of Katie is 175 lbs

Height of Katie is 5foot 7inches

She wants to lose 15lbs

She plans to run 5days /week

Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs /week

To calculate :-

How many miles she needs to run each day to lose 1lbs (3500 calories ) of body fat .

One mile is equal to roughly 2,000 steps (100 calories) and 1 pound is equal to 3,500 calories, then to lose one pound per in 5 days .

100 calories are lost in 1mile

Then 1 calories will be lost in 1/100mile

For 3500calories , it will be = 1/100× 3500

= 35 miles in 5 days she needs to run to lose 3500calories

#. Other recommendations :-

- regular exercise

- avoiding junk food

- avoiding fats

- having low carbohydrate diet

- high protein diet

- more fluids

- small frequent diet
