Ans11) For ventrogluteal muscle of hip- left or right lateral position with flex of the leg till it reaches the abdomen & other leg straight.

For Vastus lateralis: supine position

12) Apply a 60–70% alcohol-based solution (isopropyl alcohol or ethanol) on a single-use swab or cotton-wool ball. Wipe the area from the centre of the injection site working outwards, without going over the same area.

13) Aspiration is most commonly performed during an intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) injection, and is meant to ensure that the needle tip is located at the desired site, and has not accidentally punctured a blood vessel.
