The eligibility criteria and cost of these following in India are as follows:

1. Coverage for acute care, including hospitalisation:

Criterias are: need to suffer from any kind of disease conditions

- need to be seriously ill

- requiring of care to be given

- observation required

Cost: normal wards: Rs. 150- 300 per day

ICU: Rs. 800-1500 per day

2. Coverage for preventive care: such as counselling, screening and immunization etc.

Eligibility criteria: should be the age for the immunization

- should be from the area which is prone to get a particular disease

- screening is given to the individual who falls under the risk factor of certain diseases

- counselling is given for different purpose to make them adjust with the upcoming situation especially when they are about to take bigger decisions in life.

Cost: in some parts of India it is free of cost

In urban areas the cost is very high starting from : Rs. 250- 1500 per session

3. Outpatient services: for those who come for daily routines or for the consultation for any kind of disease.

- if some small injuries have occured to an individual

- if the person wants to consult the doctor for certain symptoms

- for the purpose of follow up

Cost: (varies from public hospitals to private): public: Rs. 5-100

Private: Rs. 500- 1000

4. Specialty services: person should have been suffering from the particular disease condition

- the patient should need special care

- the patient should fit the eligibility criteria of the hospital according to its policies
