1. The antibody screening can be interpreted as negative because of the individual blood cells does not produce alloantibodies against the reagent.

2. Additional cells from another panel should be used to test the antibodies. PEG can be used to test the interaction between red blood cells and antibodies.

3. The most likely cause for discrepant results is a defect with serum antibodies.

4. The other causes may be technical errors, the problem with red blood cell antigen, mistakes in the process of testing.
