Answer #1

ANSWER.

4) Calculation of volume(ml) of drug administered for the patient.

         Volume(ml) = Desired dose/Dose in hand * Quantity.

     Here

         Desired dose(D) = 5000 unit.

         Dose in hand (H) = 10000 unit.

             Quantity(Q) = 1 ml

As per above formula

        Volume(ml) of drug required = D/H * Q

                                                     = 5000 / 10000 * 1

                                                     = 0.5 * 1

                                                     = 0.5 ml.
