1. Radical prostatectomy refers to the surgical removal of the prostate along with the tissues and nodes surrounding it .

2.This is a curative procedure because when the cancer is limited to prostate ,the removal of it can cure the patient from suffering a cancer and prolong their life

3.The urgency of radical prostatectomy totally depends on patient's clinical manifestation and its severity.In simple a watchful waiting is done. In order to prevent the spread of cancer it is necessary to do the procedure on urgency but as per the research after an individual diagnosed with CA Prostate may metastasize in about 15 years to adjacent area.This is also influenced by their lifestyle, habits etc., in regards to the prognosis of the disease.The degree of risk can be during or in the post operative period like infection, bleeding , incontinence, erectile dysfunction, slow in wound healing, etc.,

• The initiation of thromboprophylaxis for the patient in injection form and cessation of the drug prior to 3 days (Low Molecular Weight Heparin) can be prescribed
