ANOREXIA NERVOSA

Here the patient is having a preliminary diagnosis of anorexia nervosa and also we can reach at the conclusion by observing her that she worn loose fitting clothes and also she covered the body with blanket.she is extremely thin and pale and also experiencing cold .anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder causing people to obsess about weight and what they eat.It is characterized by a distorted body image with an unwarrented fear of being overweight. in this case if questioning about her weight and nutrition she becomes defensive and vague.she had a surgery 2 years ago.after that she become concerned about her weight and somebody commented also.so that she became confident of that.

CLINICAL SYMPTOMS

  • hyper activity
  • impulsivity
  • social isolation
  • anxiety
  • apprehension

whole body feels

  • dehydration
  • dizziness
  • fainting
  • fatigue
  • feeling cold

  • water electrolyte imbalance

gastrointestinal

constipation or vomiting

menstrual:

absence of mensuration or irregular mensuration

in developmental stage delayed puberty or slow growth

also the patient experiences

  • bruising
  • brittle nails
  • depression
  • dieting
  • dry hair
  • dry skin
  • sensitivity to cold
  • slow heart rate

  • personality disorders

  • heart damage

other than starvation the client engages in substance abuse.the usage of these substances can cause loss of appetite causing the patient to loss weight . It can result in extra pleasure to the patient.Too much of exercise can also cause patient to lose weight . in the name of faith in god they try to skip food so that nobody can judge them.
