Answer: The specific objective data is the information that is obtained by using instruments, or by monitoring the symptoms of the patient. In the case of pain the objective data could be:

  • Increased heart rate.
  • High blood pressure
  • Increase body temperature.

The subjective data is the information provided by the patient about their feelings, perception as well as information obtained by interviewing patient regarding pain.

  • Feeling fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Headache
