Answer #1

Ans) 1) Resistance is a concept used for DC (direct currents) whereas impedance is the AC (alternating current) equivalent. Resistance is due to electrons in a conductor colliding with the ionic lattice of the conductor meaning that electrical energy is converted into heat.

2) Standard precautions are the minimum infection prevention and control practices that must be used at all times for all patients in all situations. Transmission-based precautions are used when standard precautions alone are not sufficient to prevent the spread of an infectious agent.

3) Technical Risk is simply the risk associated directly with the knowledge base being employed and it's technical aspects including such things as understanding, reproducability and the like.

A chemical hazard is a type of occupational hazard caused by exposure to chemicals in the workplace. Exposure to chemicals in the workplace can cause acute or long-term detrimental health effects.

4) While normal atmosphere contains between 20.8 and 21 percent oxygen, OSHA defines as oxygen deficient any atmosphere that contains less than 19.5 percent oxygen, and as oxygen enriched, any atmosphere that contains more than 22 percent. Oxygen enriched atmospheres present a significant fire and explosion risk.

We breathe air that is 21 percent oxygen, and we require oxygen to live. So you might think that breathing 100 percent oxygen would be good for us -- but actually it can be harmful. So, the short answer is, pure oxygen is generally bad, and sometimes toxic.
