Complementary and integrative health is divided into natural products (e.g., megavitamins, minerals, herbal remedies) and mind and body practices. Alternative medical systems (e.g., traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, Native American medicine) incorporate both. Mind and body practices include mind-body therapies (e.g., t’ai chi, qigong, hypnotherapy), manipulative therapies (e.g., osteopathic medicine, chiropractic medicine, massage therapy and bodywork), and energy therapies (e.g., acupuncture/acupressure, reiki, therapeutic touch).

Complementary medicine is a group of diverse medical and health care system of practices and products that are not generally considered part of conventional medicine.Health as a balance body systems physical,emotional, and spiritual environment involving the whole patient approach to holistic manner.Holism is a term that the whole of the sick person including their body mind and way of life should be considered when treating them and not just the symptom of the disease.

Ayurveda is a system of healing based on homeopathy and Naturopathy with an extensive use of herbs.The aim of this is to remove the cause of disorders ,prevent illness and harmonize body mind and consciousness.Ayurveda consists of mainly maintaining good health,increasing longevity and overall quality of life.

Siddha is a form of south indian tamil traditional medicine, the system is believed to be developed by the siddhar. Siddharas were the concept that a healthy body, the treatment in siddha medicine in aimed at keeping the three humours in equilibrium and maintenance of seven elements it is assumed that when the normal equilibrium of three humours vatha ,pitha , and kabha is distributed disease

Integrative medicine is the practice of medicine that reaffirms the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient, focuses on the whole person is informed by evidence and make use of all appropriate therapeutic approaches to achieve optimal health and healing.
