Question

Graph at least two periods of the output Vout when Vin is the periodic signal 2sen (2πt).
Consider Ri = Rf = 1kΩ, RC = 1 and D1 and D2 as rectifier diodes.

Answer #1

Diodes D1 and D2 operate respectively for the positive and negative halves of the input giving them gains -Rf/R1 = -1 for positive cycle and zero for negative cycle. So we can say at 1st opamp, positive cycle is inverted and negative cycle is blocked. Then the 2nd opamp performs a differentiation with time constant RC = 1 and also a negative gain of -1. Due to differentiation, for positive cycle we get, 271 cos(271t) and 0 for negative cycle.
