Ans. Km, Michaelis-Menten constant, is defined as the [S] at which half-Vmax is attained. A lower value of Km indicates that the enzyme requires a lower [S] to reach its Vmax; in turn, it also indicates that a lower Km value exhibits higher affinity of the substrate for the enzyme.

Therefore, the substrate CO2 with lower Km value has a higher affinity for the enzyme.
