Hector is building a rectangular shaped dog pen. One side will be the east side of his house and the other three sides will be a mesh fencing that costs $7.25 per foot. He wants the enclosed area to be 4000 square feet. He will also need four corner posts costing $8.50 each.

a. Let x be the side of the dog pen that is perpendicular to his house. Write a function C(x) for the cost of the materials for the pen in terms of x.

b. Use your calculator to find the dimensions of the pen that costs the least. Set your window with: 0 "less or equal to "x "less than or equal to" 100 and 1000 "less than y "less than or equal to" 4000. Round your answer to 2 decimal places

c. What is the total cost of the pen? Round to dollars and cents.
