Answer: Due to increased diversity of the population in the United States, the demographics affects the cost of healthcare. This is because along with the population people with cultural differences are also being added to it which causes the health care concern. 20% Of the U.S population is now covered by African American. Although they have low socioeconomic status, they are more prone to cardiovascular diseases. The increase in the diseased condition of the people will demand more hospital and facilities. This affects the cost of healthcare services.

The aging process involves many of the disease and palliative care is needed. For this instance more healthcare professionals are required. The racial diversity needs proper understanding of the cultural differences as patients with different cultures need more attention and care. This requires more trained healthcare professionals. This increases the cost of the healthcare system in United States.
