Are atoms and mass conserved in a chemical reaction? Exaplain
According to law mass action the masses of reactents and masses of products are equal. Total mass of the reactents are equal to the total mass of the products. Mass neither be created and nor be destroyed. Then atoms in reactent side that is stoicheometric amount of atoms reactents is equal to stoicheometric amount of atoms in products. In chemical reaction number of atoms in reactent and products are always same are equal to its stoicheometric ratio.
A) Write out the Law of Conservation of mass. B) Are atoms conserved in a chemical reaction ? Explain C) Is mass conserved in a chemical Reaction? Explain D) Are the number of moles conserved in a chemical reaction? Exp from A-D
When a chemical reaction occurs, atoms rearrange to form now compounds, but no new atoms are created nor are any destroyed This concept is called conservation of mass. Mass conservation can be seen in a balanced chemical equation where the numbers of each kind of atom are the same on both sides of the reaction arrow. The figure (Figure 1) shows the reaction of element A (lavender spheres) with element B (tan spheres). Write the balanced chemical equation for this...
1. During a chemical reaction old atoms disappear to be replaced by new ones. True or False 2. The difference between an element and a chemical compound is a chemical compound is always more massive than an element. True or False 3. Elements of a compound connotation be separated from one another by physical means because these elements found within a compound tend to be inert. True or False 4. The number of elements in a period is equal to...
The energy involved in a chemical reaction does not change the actual atoms participating but the bonds between the atoms. Based on this idea, explain how some chemical reactions release energy and some absorb energy. What physical demonstrations might you use to illustrate this concept to your students?
in a chemical reaction which of the following must remain unchanged temperture number of atoms phase number of molecules
Il Review | Constants Periodic Table Unlike chemical reactions, for which mass is conserved, nuclear reactions result in slight changes in mass. When mass is lost, it becomes energy according to the equation Natural gas (mainly CH4) is used in many power plants to generate electrical power utilizing combustion reactions. Uranium-235 is used to generate power utilizing nuclear fission. Fusion reactions involving hydrogen-1 are under investigation as a future source of electrical power. AE=Amục where AE is the energy in...
