Oxidation state of silver Ag(s) is zero, when reacts with 8 moles of sodium cyanide (acidic medium) in the presence of oxygen produces , high spin silver complex.

The oxidation state of Silver in [Ag(CN)]- complex is +1. Hence, in the reaction the oxidation state of silver is changes from zero to +1. Silver gets oxidized.
