1. Conceptual variable name - Self Esteem

Levels of variable - Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, Strongly Disagree

Measured/Manipulated - Measured

Operational definition - Asking participants to circle one of the 4 options for each question

2. Conceptual variable name - Link between the color of print and readability

Levels of variables - Red, Blue and Green printed text

Measured/ Manipulated - Manipulated

Operational definition - Each student is given 3 different colored printed text and asked to read.

3. CVN- College readiness

LOV - Below average, Average, Above average

Measured/Manipulated - Measured

OD - SAT score of each participant is categorized into 3 parts. Those below 80, between 80 and 90 and those above 90%

3. CVN - Study time invested

LOV - Less than 40 hours, Between 40 and 80 hours, More than 80 hours

Measured

OD - Number of hours is split to 3 parts such as shorter time, average time and longer time provided by each student and is then listed.

4. CVN - Level of blood sugar (fasting /postprandial)

LOV - Normal, Abnormal

Manipulated

OD - Blood sugar of both sets of students are taken at 1 pm.

5. CVN - Relation b/n self-esteem and self-control

LOV - Above average(top 10), Average. Below average bottom 10)

Manipulated

OD - Students are asked to write an essay about their contribution to social service to date.
