Q3. Draw and explain the working principle of a pipeline ADC. Show the 4-bit conversion process with voltage values at different stages for the following input signals Vin 4.0 V, 5.2 V, 2.4 V. Consider Vref 6 V

ADC means analog to digital convector. The Normal ADC gives low resolution in its output, to get good and accurate digital output we are using pipe lined ADC. similar to the pipe lining concept, in this pipe lined ADC also the input analog signal is given to different stages to get high resolution and accuracy.The block diagram of generalised pipe lined ADC is shown below. fig (1): pipe lined ADC architecture. This pipe lined ADC provides better trade off between conversion rate, resolution & Power consumption. As shown in fig (1) It is an architecture of pipe lined ADC.
