Waveform shape is determine by the time constant of the RC circuit.

For better filtering of rectified waveform, time constant should be very greater than the time period of rectified wave.
Time constant determine the time required by a capacitor in an RC circuit to charge or discharge. If time constant is less, then capacitor will charge and discharge rapidly, it results in increase in ripple in the output waveform.
So based on above discussion we can see that 100microFarad capacitor is giving almost DC voltage at the output.
