Answer #1

Cobalt atomic number is 27,

so it resembles that total number of electrons in Co is 27

electronic configuration of Co is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 3d7 4s2 or we can write as (Ar) 3d7 4s2, (Ar indicates 18 electrons)

Co+4, it means by losing 4 electrons the configuration is (Ar)3d5 4s0

So finally the atom has only 23 electrons.

first option is the right answer.
