What are e-cigarettes? -- E-cigarettes or electronic cigarettes are a non tobacco burning version of normal cigarettes. They use a vaporizer powered by a battery to create a smoking-a-cigarette like an experience.

While companies who manufacture e-cigarettes claim that they are less harmful as compared to burning cigarettes, scientific evidence hasn't been able to support their stance. The benefits or harms of e-cigarettes are yet not known clearly.

Hence, yes a more stringent regulation is required when it comes to the misconception that surrounds e-cigarettes claiming tham to less harmful. This attraction strategy might lead to more youngsters/teenagers taking up to smoking. In many countries and states, for the same reason, e-cigarettes are even completely banned.
