Answer #1

Answer 1. Change in state is a physical change. So, change from liquid to gas of water, ethanol and hexane is physical change.

Hexane has 68oC, ethanol has 78oC and water has 100oC as their boiling point. So the lowest to highest ease order is water, ethanol and hexane.

Answer 2. Hexane will be in top layer as it is lighter than water (since density of hexane is 0.66g/ml and 1g/ml that of water).
