• Have you noticed that if you leave a few things lying on a table, the table soon becomes a chaotic mess? The same might happen to your room or garage. Why does it become a mess? How does this example relate to entropy? Provide another real-life example that demonstrates this concept.

It becomes mess because 2nd law of thermodynamics dictates that entropy of universe(system plus surroundings) always increases and entropy is defined as degree of randomness or disorder.

If we take a box having large number of coins coins and toss them on the floor then it's extremely unlikely that all will have heads or tails.

This doesn't happen because every coin would have to fall in head( or tail) to create this and there is only one possible state of accomplishing so. But there would be millions(or may be more) other states possible which would be random. So, obtaining orderly state is highly unlikely(from probabilistic point of view).

So all real phenomena propagates such that entropy(randomness) of universe always increases.
