Any attempt to make sense of what it means to be human must begin with a set of assumptions about human nature or what is sometimes referred to as "the human condition. The readings selected for this topic have provided a variety of visions regarding humanity, what makes us tick, what we can hope to accomplish as individuals and maybe even as a species. Some of our selected theorists see human nature an immutable force that shapes our lives for better or worse. Others see the human nature as fluid, ever changing and maybe even progressive. Change is the only permanent thing in this world and as human beings evolve as they evolved over a period of time from other species. This would mean that human nature and human conditions are very progressive thus, fitting their present environment. As time pass by, human beings adopt to their changing environment and try to fit in which means they are progressive in nature. However, human conditions are different to different people because of the changing social, economic and political scenarios in the world. Nevertheless, only human beings are capable of changing their attitude thus, changing their lives for better or worse.
