Ethics are derived from both Western and Eastern civilizations and have changed throughout the years. Are there differences between the two?
Computer ethics is related to physiology that deals with computer related moral dilemmas, professionals usually try to avoid unethical behavior. Some unethical actions are, copyright infirgment,software piracy etc.,
Evolution of ethics:
In 1940 the concept of ethics orientated with a MIT professor Norbert wiener
In 1960's the illegal use of computers led to the establishment of ACM(Association for Computing machinery)
in 1980's computer crime, privacy invasion became popular and hence computer ethics became a academic discipline.
in 1990's there has been a lot of research based on ethics.
*Comparison of western and easter approach:
Eastern attitude to ethics was regarding the issues of copying software,whereas western ethics were concerned on both hardware and software.
Eastern physiologies also arrive at the same conclusion as that of western paths but the only difference us that they follow different paths.
But, there are sharp contrast between the two, when eastern ethics are based on confucianism, and modern western emphasis human knowledge.
