The distance between two charges or balls r = 15 cm

= 0.15 m

The force of attraction (F) = 20 mN

                                     = 0.020 N

Write the equation for the force of attraction between the balls.

F = k q 2 / r 2

Here, Coloumb's constant (k)= 8.99 * 10 9 N.m2 / C 2

0.02 = (8.99 * 10 9 ) q 2 / (0.15)2

q = 2.23*10-7 C

Calculate the number of electrons transferred from one ball to the other ball N = q / e

chargfe of electron (e) = 1.6 * 10 -19C

N = 2.23*10-7 / 1.6 * 10-19  

=1.398*1012 electrons
