Sex refers to a biological aspect of an individual whereas gender is a social construct . There are certain social rules and norm associated to each and every gender . if a person does not fulfills these social norm then he/ she is considered to be deviant and not accepted in the society easily .

While communicating men are allowed to be assertive as well aggressive but on the other hand its is not acceptable if a women acts in this way .

Women are considered to be timid and docile thereby their views were put forth in a gentle way this also contributes to their usage of more fine language and lack of cuss words .

Communication is just not restricted to verbal cues but it also encompasses non verbal cues .

Men and women also differ in their display of non- verbal cues.

In general, women tend to condense their bodies into as compact a space as possible. This involves tucking in elbows, crossing legs.

Women also tend to display more animated facial expressions, smile more, and make more eye contact than men. Men, on the other hand, tend to expand more than women into physical space and normally resume a more relaxed body posture.
