Answer #1

Configuring IP address and subnet mask to s0/0 interface

Router(config)# int serial 0/0

Router(config-if)# ip address 192.168.12.3 255.255.255.0

Router(config-if)# exit

Specifying encapsulation as ppp

Router(config)#int serial 0/0

Router(config-if)# encapsulation ppp

Specifying clock source as line

Router(config)# int serial 0/0

Router(config-if)# clock source line

Note:- default value of clock source is line

Configuring line code and framing

Router(config)#controller t1 0

Router(config-controller)# linecode b8zs

Router(config-controller)# framing esf

T1 specifies the t1 controller and the number range for t1 is 0 to 15. ESF specifies the extended super frame as T1 frame type which is by default E1.
