Growth hormone receptor belongs to Type1 type I cytokine receptor family of proteins. Mature protein that is expressed in mammalian cells molecular weight is about 600 to 650 kDa. Growth hormone receptor (GHR) belongs to superfamily of transmembrane proteins. Human growth hormone receptor is localized at endoplasmic reticulum.
