Q1. mass of glycerol = 12.80 g

mass of water = 40.70 g

mass of solution = mass of glycerol + mass of water

mass of solution = 12.80 g + 40.70 g

mass of solution = 53.50 g

volume of solution = (mass of solution) / (density of solution)

volume of solution = 53.50 g / (1.052 g/mL)

volume of solution = 50.86 mL

volume of solution = 0.05086 L

moles of glycerol = (mass of glycerol) / (molar mass of glycerol)

moles of glycerol = (12.80 g) / (92.09 g/mol)

moles of glycerol = 0.1390 mol

molarity of glycerol = moles of glycerol / volume of solution (L)

molarity of glycerol = (0.1390 mol) / (0.05086 L)

molarity of glycerol = 2.733 M
