in vertical direction,

a = g = 9.8 m/s^2

u = 0 and time = t

so second equation of motion

s = u t + 0.5 * a * t ^2

15.7 = 0 + 0.5 * 9.8 * t^2

t = 1.7899 s

in horizontal direction,

t = 1.7899 s and distance travelled = 26.5 m as there is no acceleration in horizontal direction

so V = 26.5 / 1.7899

V = 14.8 m/s
