Answer #1

H0: The population has a normal probability distribution.

Ha: The population does not have a normal probability distribution.

Here I am using Minitab 18 to answer it.

The Normal Probability plot is given by

Probability Plot of X Normal 99 23.3 Mean StDev 6.423 30 95 RJ 0.964 90 P-Value 0.054 80 70 60 50 40 30 20 10 5 20 30 40 45 1

The value of the test statistic is = 0.964

p-value = 0.054

The p-value is greater than 0.05 we accept H0 at 5% level of significance.

Correct answer is Option 4. Do not reject H0. The claim that the data comes from a normal distribution cannot be rejected.
