Answer #1

Molar mass of C6H8O6,

MM = 6*MM(C) + 8*MM(H) + 6*MM(O)

= 6*12.01 + 8*1.008 + 6*16.0

= 176.124 g/mol

mass(C6H8O6)= 135 mg

= 0.135 g

use:

number of mol of C6H8O6,

n = mass of C6H8O6/molar mass of C6H8O6

=(0.135 g)/(1.761*10^2 g/mol)

= 7.665*10^-4 mol

volume , V = 2.564*10^2 mL

= 0.2564 L

use:

Molarity,

M = number of mol / volume in L

= 7.665*10^-4/0.2564

= 2.989*10^-3 M

Answer: 2.99*10^-3 M
