The three categories of the ERG theory proposed by Clayton Alderfer are Existence, Relatedness, Growth. Existence covers the basic needs which are critical for human existence. Relatedness is related to the need of the people to have relationships with other people. Growth covers the human need to aspire to become a better person socially or economically.
