Answer #1

1)

variance = p(1-p)

sd = sqrt(variance) = sqrt(p(1-p))

2)

variance of discrete uniform = ((b-a+1)^ 2 - 1)/12 =(6^2 - 1)/12 = 35/12

sd = sqrt( 35/12)

4)

var(Y) = var(a + bX) = b^2 Var(X)

sd(Y) = b sd(X)

I don't think there is any use of R here
