Answer #1

5)

Step 1: find volume of the ball

use:

density = mass / volume

10.5 g/cm^3 = 500.0 g / volume

volume = 47.6 cm^3

Step 2: find radius of the ball

volume = (4/3)*pi*r^3

47.6 cm^3 = (4/3)*3.14*r^3

r^3 = 11.37

r = 2.25 cm

Step 3: find diameter

use:

diameter = 2*r

= 2*2.25 cm

= 4.50 cm

Answer: 4.50 cm
