Answer #1

C3 plants are those plants in which they produce a three carbon compound in the process of photosynthesis. Whereas C4 plants produce a four carbon compound which has to further split into a three carbon compound. The difference in these plants is how carbon dioxide is extracted from sunlight. C4 plants are better suited to survive in hot and arid climates as the stomata open in night and closed during the day. This adaptation is to minimise water loss during the day. Moreover C4 plants have a greater concentration of carbon helping in the photosynthesis process.
