A solution contains 21.04 grams of NaCl in 0.225 kg water at 25°C. What is the...
The question is: 8) A solution contains 150.8 grams of NaCl in 678.3 grams of water. Calculate the vapor pressure of water (in torr) over the solution at 25.0 °C. (Note: The vapor pressure of pure water at 25.0 °C is 23.76 torr.) The correct answer is 20.90 but I get 22.236. I presumed I needed to use Raoult's law. Found the mole fraction for WATER, at .935864 and multiplied that by 23.76. But my doesn't match the answer sheet....
a) The vapor pressure of pure water at 30°C is 31.8 torr. An aqueous solution of urea had a vapor pressure of 29.3 torrat the same temperature. What is the mole fraction of urea in the solution? b) How many grams of sucrose, C12H22O11(MW=342), must be dissolved in 552 g H2O (MW=18.016) to give a vapor pressure 2.0 torr lower than of pure H2O at 20°C? The VP of H2O at 20°C is 17.5 torr.
Calculate the vapor pressure at 25 degrees C of an aqueous solution that is 5.50% NaCl by mass. The pure vapor pressure of water at this temperature is 23.78 torr.
Determine the vapor pressure of a solution at 25°C that contains 76.6 g of glucose (C6H12O6) in 250.0 mL of water. The vapor pressure of pure water at 25°C is 23.8 torr. Please show work...
An NaCl solution is prepared by dissolving 20.0 g NaCl in 150.0 g of water at 25°C. What is the vapor pressure of the solution if the vapor pressure of water at 25°C is 0.031 atm?
8) If 0.380 mol of a nonvolatile nonelectrolyte are dissolved in 3.50 mol of water, what is the vapor pressure PH20 of the resulting solution? The vapor pressure of pure water is 23.8 torrat 25 oC.

An aqueous solution containing glucose has a vapor pressure of 19.9 torr at 25°C. What would be the vapor pressure of this solution at 45°C? The vapor pressure of pure water is 23.8 torr at 25°C and 71.9 torr at 45°C. Vapor pressure torr If the glucose in the solution were substituted with an equivalent amount (moles) of NaCl, what would be the vapor pressure at 45°C? Vapor pressure torr
What is the vapor pressure (mm Hg) of water at 25 c above a solution prepared by dissolving 25g of urea, CO(NH2) 2. in 75g of water? The vapor pressure of pure water at 25 °C is 23.8 mm Hg.
A saline solution contains 7.6 g of NaCl in 1.00 kg of water. Assuming an ideal value for the Van't Hoff factor, i, calculate the freezing point of this solution in °C out of Answer 18 A saline solution contains 79 g of NaCi per 0.60 iter of solution. Assuming an ideal value for the van't Hoff factor, calculate the osmotic pressure (in atm) of this solution at 288 K out of Answer 19 A reverse osmosis unit is used...
