Factors affecting group cohesiveness are:

1. Similarity of group members: Individuals who are similar in background, race, attitudes, values etc generally have a positive effect on the group.

2. Entry Difficulty: If the entry of people is difficult, the group tends to be more elite and the members feel prestigious to be a part of such group.

3. Group Size: Small groups are more united then large groups.

b. It is seen the cohesion brings performance & performance brings unity (cohesion).therefore, both cohesion & performance are directly related.
