Components of Gram positive Cell Wall Components of Gram Negative Cell Wall
Consists of many layers of peptidoglycan(60-90%). Contains only one layer of peptidoglycan layers(10-20%).
Consists of Techoic acids and Lipotechoic Acids. Outer membrane is composed of phospholipids, lipopolysaccharides and proteins. Pore forming proteins called porins span the outer membrane.
