Two converging lenes are placed a distance D = 183 cm apart. The first lens has focal length f1 = 5 cm, and the second lens has focal length f2 = 10 cm. If an object is a distance of do = 45 cm to the left of the first lens, what is the image distance in centimeters from the second lens? Round your answer to two decimal places.

Answer #1

for first lens di=(do-f1)/f1do=(45-5)/45*5=0.177 cm

this can be object for second lens, d'o=D-do=183-0.177= 182.82 cm

d'i=(d'o-f2)/f2do=(182.82 -10)/182.82 *10=0.177 cm=0.095 cm=95X10-3 cm
