Each unit has a unit ID and a name. A unit can be taught jointly by more than one academic staff member. Each academic staff member can teach one or more units.

we will call this table staff, it has three fields ID, name and email

2. Each unit has a unit ID and a name.

we will call this table units, it has two fields ID, name

3. A unit can be taught jointly by more than one academic staff member.

As the unit can have more than one staff member so for this sentence the unit has a one-to-many relationship with staff.

4. Each academic staff member can teach one or more units.

As the staff member can teach more than one unit so for this sentence the staff has a one-to-many relationship with unit.

So this is a many-to-many relationship because one staff member can teach more than one unit and one unit can be taught by more than one staff member.

So, below if the ER-Diagram of the current scenario.

Create a third table called teaching and store all the relation IDs in it and that way we can accomplish the task.
