Answer #1

Answer:

Explanation:

First a new list is created to store the last 2 digits, then selection sort algorithm is applied on the second list but at the end of each iteration whe minimum element is replaced with the current index, swapping is done in both the lists using the same index.

This way both lists gets sorted simultaneously.

sweaterCodes = [12309, 32109, 54204, 35410, 87508, 50404, 94307, 94306, 54205, 12303, 32111, 32110] print(The unsorted list

Code:

sweaterCodes = [12309, 32109, 54204, 35410, 87508, 50404, 94307, 94306, 54205, 12303, 32111, 32110]

print('The unsorted list of codes is:')
print(sweaterCodes)
two_digits_list = []

for code in sweaterCodes:
two_digits_list.append(code%100)

for i in range(len(two_digits_list)):
minimum = i

for j in range(i+1, len(two_digits_list)):
if(two_digits_list[j]<two_digits_list[minimum]):
minimum = j

two_digits_list[minimum], two_digits_list[i] = two_digits_list[i], two_digits_list[minimum]
sweaterCodes[minimum], sweaterCodes[i] = sweaterCodes[i], sweaterCodes[minimum]

print()
print('The sorted list of codes is:')
print(sweaterCodes)

Output:

input The unsorted list of codes is: [12309, 32109, 54204, 35410, 87508, 50404, 94307, 94306, 54205, 12303, 32111, 32110] The

    You will be reading in 3 files in the program. One will contain a list of 1000 words in unsorted order. The second file will contain 1000 words in sorted order. In this assignment, you sort a list of strings using mergesort and the compareToIgnoreCase method of the String class. The strings are provided as arguments to your main method. In case you haven't yet learned to configure command-line arguments to main in your IDE, now is a good time to learn. Your program should sort the array of strings using mergesort, then print the strings one per line, in order from smallest ("a") to largest ("z"). The name of your...

    C programming (you don't need to write program) Problem 1 [Linear Search with Early Stop] Below you will find a linear search function with early stop. A linear search is just a naive search - you go through each of the elements of a list one by one. Early stop works only on sorted list. Early stop means, instead of going through whole list, we will stop when your number to search can no longer be possibly found in the...
