Lean System makes an effort to make the process so simple and effective that the chances for errors are not encountered. Meaning all areas where error could occur be curbed, example : if the entry and exit of a warehouse is the same, it means either input or output can happen at a particular time, but if they are different, both the activities can happen at the same time.

If a traditional approach of cost reduction was followed , then the cost would be reduced if there was only one entrance, but its efficiency would be halves, and would have cascading effects as well reducing further.

Thus , lean is a more modern concept where immediate benefits are given lower priority as compared to long term achievements.
