Health & safety duties of PCBU:

  • Provide & maintain safe plant & structures.
  • Ensure the safe use, handling and storage of plant, structures & substances.
  • Provide adequate facilities and ensure that access is maintained.
  • The PCBU must ensure that so far it is reasonably practicable that the fixtures, fittings and plant are without risks to health & safety of any person.
  • A PCBU in relation to plant, substances or structures that are to be used or reasonably could be used at a work place must ensure that design, manufacture or import or supply is without risk to health & safety of persons may be affected. This includes provision of relevant information.
  • The PCBU must ensure that installation, commission or construction of plant is without risk to health and safety of persons who may be affected by these activities.
